Self-care options include losing weight, avoiding alcohol close to bedtime, quitting smoking, or sleeping on one's side. Using an external nasal dilator strip also may help.
See a doctor if:
- Excessive daytime sleepiness
- Difficulty concentrating
- Morning headaches
- Sore throat
- Gasping or choking at night
