Avoid caffeine, nicotine, alcohol, and recreational drugs. Get sufficient sleep, regular exercise, and practice relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing or yoga.
See a doctor immediately if:
- First occurrence
- Suicidal thoughts
Make an appointment to see a doctor if:
- Worsening severity or frequency
- Interfering with ability to work, maintain relationships, or complete daily tasks
