Loneliness

Make new friends by volunteering, attending community or religious events, or taking a class. Spend time with family or friends and try to go out for a meal, coffee or a walk.
Seek emergency help if:
- Thinking about suicide
Make an appointment to see a doctor if:
- Sadness persists for several weeks or longer
- No interest in activities that once were pleasurable
- Unable to sleep or enjoy participating in activities of daily living
