Intestinal gas that's passed from the anus.
Don't eat certain foods, including beans and lentils, and limit dairy foods with lactose, fruits containing fructose, and the sweetener sorbitol. Taking a walk after meals may help.
See a healthcare professional immediately if:
- Blood in the stool.
Make an appointment to see a healthcare professional if:
- Long-lasting or severe.
- Vomiting, diarrhea or constipation.
- Losing weight without trying.
- Heartburn.
