Dandy-Walker syndrome
June 13, 2017
Dandy-Walker syndrome is a congenital brain condition affecting the cerebellum, the part of the brain controlling movement. The condition often occurs in infancy.
Symptoms can include an enlarged skull due to fluid buildup in the brain, motor delays, and unsteadiness.
Treatment may involve using a head shunt to drain excess fluid.
