Adjustment disorder

Adjustment disorder is a type of stress-related mental condition brought on by a life change. Examples of life change include going away to school or an illness.
Symptoms include sadness, hopelessness, lack of enjoyment, and crying spells.
Treatment may involve counseling, medications, or both.
