An allergy to nuts that grow on trees.
Tree nut allergy is a potentially life-threatening allergy to nuts that grow on trees. These include walnuts, pecans, almonds, and cashews.
Hives, breathing difficulty, weak pulse and nausea are some symptoms.
A serious reaction needs emergency care. Treatment may include antihistamine medicines and shots of adrenaline, also called epinephrine.
