False pregnancy
June 13, 2017
False pregnancy (pseudocyesis) is a condition in which a woman falsely believes she is pregnant.
Signs such as an enlarged belly, breast changes, and menstrual irregularities may occur. Social or family pressure or an overwhelming desire to become pregnant may cause these physical changes.
The main treatment is counseling.
