September 24, 2024
Inflammation of the gallbladder — a small, digestive organ beneath the liver.
Cholecystitis is inflammation of the gallbladder, a small organ under the liver. It's often caused by stones that block the tube leading from the gallbladder to the small intestine.
Severe pain in the upper right belly, radiating pain from the belly, and bloating are symptoms.
Treatments include a hospital stay and surgical removal of the gallbladder.
